Default Push rod tubes

I have a '14 SG. 103 Twincam. Trying to figure out how to pull the "clips" on the push rod tubes so I can adjust the rods. Tried a few times, Watched a lot of videos, but none that I have found look like mine. Any suggestions??

they make a set of pliers that will open up the assy so the clip can be removed. however, i just use a big flat blade screw driver to press down on the collar. one note when installing is make sure the upper tube is homed into the upper seat or the clip will not go in. if possible return the tube to original position, although not that important especially so if you changed the three seals.

Why do you think you need to adjust your pushrods? Unless you've had engine work done and they were replaced the factory ones are non-adjustable. Even if you've had them replaced, they don't typically come out of adjustment.

Screwdriver.

Adjusting pushrods is a mechanical aptitude step above that. Proceed accordingly. If your bike is a stock machine, it does NOT have adjustable pushrods.

Like chopper_man, I ask the same question. Why are you having to adjust pushrods? Unless the engine has a history of rebuild best to just leave it alone.

Have a bit of chatter. Sounds like adjustment is needed, but also sounds like there is no adjustment on mine. It is bone stock.

Good Lord...

Check this out. Most likely where your ticking is coming from.

If those don't do it for some reason, replace the crap lifters with these. The 2313SE is the best. Hard to find right now tho.

Hard to say which is your issue without hearing it in person but the first is quite common.
