Default Voltmeter light out after stator repair

I had my stator replaced on Wednesday by a Harley dealer. Tonight I noticed my voltmeter light is out. Is that a coincidence or could it be related? Is it probably a led, or maybe some kind of short in the wires?

Anybody? I stopped at a Harley dealer. They said it would take an hour to diagnose. I’ll wait until my next service.

The stator plugs into volt reg. So technically they never touched related wiring. I am not sure which fuse this is off. Anything else out?

Look at schematic and see where it gets power from.

Good idea. I will check my fuses when I get home. And learn how to access my battery. It looks a lot more confusing than accessing my ‘03s battery. They did test the VR so they probably disconnected it, to do that. Thanks.

If you’re talking about a light inside the gauge and not the gauge itself it’s not related to the stator change. It’s on the lighting circuit and would be a wire or bulb issue.

I saw your post in the Bat vs apes thread, about little response to this thread. I think this may have been seen by more if you posted in Electrical/lighting/alarm section.
Anyway Ranger gave good advice. The power comes from the Instrument fuse and daisy chains to all instrument lights So like he said, Bulb or possibly wire problem.

If you're handy you might pop the fairing off and change it yourself. In the schematic the bulbs are 1-2

Like Vernal said, the back lighting for all four two inch gauges are on the same circuit. If the other three are functional, it's likely a burnt out bulb.

Maybe you over voltages and blew bulb. A sign of bad volt reg is bulbs that are black. Or maybe bulbs just blew.
I've also seen fuses blow, and then go 15 years and never blow again
