both main harness brackets cracked
So a few weeks ago, I'm chasing this rattle coming from the fairing of my EG. Tugging on the windshield, or pressing on the top fairing dash while slow speed riding diminishes the rattle sound. OK...windshield? Checked and good. Rattle occurs with screen removed. All connectors, cables, etc. clear of other solid components behind the fairing? Yep, I tie wrapped the crap outta everything. I discovered the top of the main harness bracket had cracked apart right at the uppermost 90 degree bend above the radio before it attaches to the inner fairing. OK, easy fix. TWO WEEKS LATER, same thing on the other side! DAGNABBIT!! Maybe there are others who have experienced this already with this or similar models but what a hassle.
