History and specs. before my question.....2005 Fat Boy FI,103" SE kit with tuner. Never had security fob or issues related to security. Small miss or " hiccup" prior to tear down for inner primary oil leak (assuming dirty injector on that issue)but also had to replace odometer reset button to pull codes. After all reassembly and switch replacement, bike will not start and still won't go through sequences or pull codes. Cranks and cranks but won't fire. Could security be telling it not to fire? Any help or suggestions appreciated
Does your bike definitely have a security system? If you have a fob, try a new battery - start simple! Do any of the electrics actually work?
had the bike 5 years now and never have had a fob and other than the occasional red key light from adding LED tail lights...no issues with security !! Just seems like something it telling it not to start
I'm pretty certain security was an option back then, so if you haven't got a fob you don't have security! Must be something else getting in the way.....

have not done any research on the topic..... but is there a way to decode the vin to determine options?
If you go to the Owners tab on the H-D website you can enter your VIN and get back details of your bike and its build spec. I'm not sure if that includes security, but doesn't cost anything to find out!

open the bike up and get to your tsm or tssm. figure out which it is, TurnSiganlModule or TurnSignalSecrutityModule by the part number on the lable on it. that will tell you if the bike has security or not. kind of need to know that to start with. just becasue you never had the fob, doesn't necessarily mean anything if you bought the bike used. no fob, no way to arm it if auto arming has been disabled in the menu.
when you turn on the switch does the speedo do it's sweep test, the CEL light come on then go off? Did you disconnect the battery when you did your other work, did you disconnect the speedo it's-self for any reason? if so go back and re-check all your connections for being straight and tight and that there are no damaged pins or sockets or wires pushed back out of any connectors.
