Starter button does nothing

I have a 1996 Springer soft tail Harley Davidson and last week I had it running and I shut it off and now the lights flash and a relay is clicking sound and it won't turn over! When I hit the starter button nothing happens! I have a brand new battery! But the lights flash when the key is on! What have I done wrong?

You forgot to disable the security system? Does your bike have a key fob?

When you installed your brand new battery did you check the ground cable connection?

Hello guys I’m still down my 2001 Harley-Davidson ultra classic I have tried everything I can still will not start I left me ingnition on it was on for 3days I recharged it and nothing it’s dead everything comes on but the kill switch and the start button they are dead nothing can some one please help me thanks
