I have a 07 Night Train with V&H Big Radius, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, & PCIII. I went for a ride the other night and the idle seems very high. Also when you come to a light and let totally off the throttle its like you are still on the throttle and it takes awhile for the rpm's to come down.
I had Jamie at FuelMoto program it for me when he shipped it.
Also, I want to go with the Big City Thunder baffles. Do I need to have the PCIII re-mapped? Someone told me about the high idle problem was addressed here and how to correct it. Anyone have the link?

Agree with FatBuford, set your throttle position. BTW, there is a display in the programwhere you can see the TP percentage with the bike running and the PCIII plugged into your laptop. The user manual provided with the program covers the procedure. FYI, when I first hooked mine up, my idle throttle position indicated something like 4% until I recalibrated. I reset both the idle and WOT positions. Idle now shows0% with the bike running and hooked up.
No, Thats what I want to know how to do. I think thats my problem. How do I do it?
Follow the instructions in the manual that came with the PCIII. You'll need a computer with access to your bike, and most of us use notebook computers for portability. Use the "Reset" button in the software to set 0% and 100% at the same time. Doing both is a prerequisite for ensuring that your map works as designed.
I found that 100% can't be reliably calibrated with the motor running, so I use the alternate method of connecting a 9V battery and turning on the ignition (without starting). You can then hold 100% TP while the PC gets its calibration, as otherwise with the engine running you must hold 100% TP for a very short duration to prevent reving the engine excessively.
I set the TP to 0. It was at 5%. While the bike is sitting still and you rev the engine it has a hesitation. I took the bike for a ride and it seems fine but Im concerned about the hesitation.I should be installing the Thunder Monster baffles next week. I hope it doesnt make it worse. I guess I will have to get it tuned on the dyno. I looked around and the cheapest place says between $300-$400 to dyno tune. Man that seems high.
