Default No engine light

I have an '01 RK EFI just did a a partial removal of the gas tank to replace the throttle and idle cables. Everything went back together without any problems EXCEPT now when I flip the "run" switch on the engine light doesn't come on and I don't get the familiar humming of the fuel pump kicking in. I've rechecked all connectors and checked all fuses (with test light) everything seems to be fine.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Fuel gage and all lights are working.
Thx
Snip

Snipit, I dont want to sound dumb here but is your bike equipped with a "TIP OVER" switch? If somehow the switch got tripped, you need to cycle the ignition "ON- OFF- ON to reset it.........BG

Snipit, another posibility. Maybe the "run switch" on the handle bar went bad. Have you checked the switch with a contunity tester? (the battery should be disconnected when you test this way).........BG

I'm pretty sure my bike has a ground wire on the front tank bolt, check to see if that is connected.

You may want to see if you shorted/crimped a wire in your handgrips/switches when you replaced the cables. A short in the start/run switch will kill fuel pump and ignition without blowing a fuse.
Good luck,
Woody
