Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel InjectionNeed advice on ignition issues? Questions about a tuner? Have questions about a EFI calibration or Fuel Injection? Tips on Engine Diagnostics, how to get codes, and what they mean. Find your answers here.
Just got my powervision last night, it looks similar to the tuning software that i use on my car. I just have to wait until the snow is off the roads before i can get out on the bike.
Also are you able to record data, monitor for front and rear cylinder knock retard and develop spark timing tables based on your specific setup? I'm trying to understand to what extent basemaps can be revised or developed from scratch, without a dyno.
Just for full disclosure, iclick already knows this, I am a new user to TTS, but following the PV with high interest. As I mentined at some point earlier, I think PV is going to mature into a stellar product very quickly.
You can log over 30+ different basic and advanced channels on the Power Vision and can also view them in real time. If you have the AT-100 with wideband sensors installed you can log/display AF data as well.
There are some very exciting Power Vision updates coming soon from Dynojet and I will post when they are available. I have been testing a beta PV tuning application that will be the basis for AT Pro. This tuning application automatically populates the VE tables based on PV logfile's that contains AF data from the AT-100 as well as other appropriate channels. Using various techniques with the load control on the dyno to get to all areas of the calibration I am able to run a log, use the tuning application, flash the map to the ECM, and then instantly validate my edits very quickly, then go right back into tuning by running another log. All of the data is right there and it is awesome. Tuning takes far less time than other ECM flash tuning platforms and because we are using wideband sensors we can tune to the specific AFR/Lambda of your choice, not just near stoich as you would with a nbO2 sensor, very cool indeed. More to come......
It was mentioned a few times in the Electrical/Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel Injection section.
Maybe we could collectively ask the powers-that-be at HDForums to move this thread to that section as a sticky. They have one for TTS and I know they wouldn't want to show any favoritism, especially since a sponsor sells the product in question.
I always thought weather radar on a bike would be useful, but is it even possible?
A couple of years ago when I bought my Zumo I noticed mention about an XM weather option that I believe had weather radar that could be displayed on the GPS. The problem was that it was expensive, like $90/mo., IIRC, and you had to buy the expensive Garmin XM add-on. I may have this info all wrong, as I haven't heard anything about it since.

If I recall, the OP asked a moderator to make his a sticky. This thread is certainly a great start, so perhaps we can get a moderator to take notice and move this thread to the Electrical/Ignition/Tuner/ECM/Fuel Injection section and make it a sticky?

I'll bet if we start cussin', making a ruckus, and flaming each other a moderator will show-up.
I'll start it: Dustball, you're an ignorant ****!
Now, you say "No I'm not, you are" and I'll respond.
I ordered my PV from Jamie @ Fuelmoto on Wednesday and received it in the mail this morning. In less than 5 minutes this afternoon I had my stock tune saved to the PV and the custom PV tune Fuelmoto provided flashed to my Sporty's ECM. I took a nice ride today and the new tune is great. I noticed a big improvement in performance (throttle response, smoothness, lack of surging @ low/steady RPM's) over the H-D Stage 1 download. I plan to start playing with the WinPV software next week. I hope to be able to compare the Fuelmoto tune with the HD tune to see where the differences are.

Sheesh...like trying to find a cop when you really need one!
I don't see any "Contact Us" link here, except if you want to advertise. I sent a PM to "Terry"TheTrollKiller, one of the admins, and will post the result if I hear anything. Anyone who wants to campaign for a sticky, please send him a PM.
If I use Win PV to Get a Tune from my PV (I just want to view one of my tunes, not edit it), will a copy of the tune still remain on the PV unit or does this function remove the tune from the PV? Thanks.
