Default BETA Autotune VE Problem???

Since I have been using the different versions of the beta fw, I occasionally see AE on the datalog screen for a second. That means my accel enrichment is active. It shouldn't be, but is. Is anyone else having this occur?

Hopefully engineering is still working on a fix. In the interim I am thinking of shutting AE off in my tune prior to setting it up for autotune. What do you all think?

Does anyone know what bug version 1174 fixed from version 1164?

I get the AE flashes along with NBR:0 and NBF:0. As I'm in a normal cruise range at the time, I am surprised to see those popping up. It's still beta

I can almost understand the NB O message as I think that means that the measured piece of data received by the PV is outside the range of what was expected? It does become distracting, especially with the new red screen and makes it difficult to fully populate the area you are trying to tune.

What do you think of the idea of disabling AE? One less variable to contend with.

NB*:0 is supposed to indicate its in open loop mode so that is what is confusing as I'm less then 3k rpm and right around 40-60 Kpa. The tuning does seem to work pretty well as it is - possibly those messages (NB and AE) are flashing, but not impacting the outcome. Probably good to bounce it off of Dynojet to get their input.

Running 1174 beta and the constant flashing red and green on my ride home tonight was pretty wierd. I get those momentary NB:0 and VE + all the time. Needs to go back to just green background.

That's originally what I thought NB O was saying, the sensor was in open loop. But, like you have also observed, there ain't no way at a steady state in cruise range on a flat stretch of road. I could have sworn I read something, somewhere about what it meant way back when.

I keep expecting the number of screen messages to decrease as my tune gets closer to optimum, but it doesn't. Like you said it is a beta. I'll keep searching for what that message really means though.

Yep, agree on the red screen.

Happy motoring....

I got the beta from fuel moto virus protection did not like it not sure how to allow it so turned off virus protection for one hour. All loaded ok except it will not update tunes "update tune using PV" top of header window I can see not responding then I get pop up error "error loading"

I can get tune from PV and I can send a tune to PV. I was wanting to check out the new tables. Do I need to load a tune to bike and back to "update tune using PV?" I am sure I have the new firmware etc. I dont see how the winpv displays percent in delta on the compare feature?. I am trying to update a fuel moto tweaked tune.

Sam,
Go to https://www.hdforums.com/forum/10266946-post3038.html which is message 3038 in this thread.

I had that same problem when I first started. You will have to connect the PV to the ecm and turn the ign and kill switch on. You want "Settings>Enter Code 319248. Follow the prompts and perform the action as requested.

This worked for me. HOWEVER, until they get this part fixed for some of us, you will have to do this to upgrade the tune you are working with each time a new Firmware is released.

Hello, I changed air filter on my 12 SG. I went from a K&N stage 1 to a zippers Max flow. Since changing every time I do a data log the VE tables keep going down. They don't go down by much usually 1 or 2 numbers. Does this mean the filter is not flowing as well as the k&n? Also, from my understanding doesn't lower VE #'s mean less fuel and less power? Thanks for the info.
