As far as the "behind the scenes" info. What exactly did YOU determine was going on behind the scenes.

Based on your limited tuning experience and only using the PV one time, I hardly find you experienced enough to comment on a product such as this. I'm sure the developers have a bit more than "6 months" experience.

Either way, I'd love to hear more about your evaluation of the product. Maybe you know something the folks that developed the PV don't know.
I've been tuning since the original Power Commander. I've been tuning with this PV for the last 6 months. Not only have I been tuning my own bike but the other riders in my area.

It takes 30 seconds to pull over and flash a an AT Tune. It take 2 minutes for My computer just to boot up. That's my definition of on the fly.

If you want to see what's being changed and by how much and be able to manipulate those changes then use the computer. The AT us a great feature but takes all the control out of the riders hands.

I'm getting the impression Stailjim61's intent is not the learn the PV, but in fact just challenges those that have take the time.

Fortunately I have had the opportunity to use the SERT when if first came out, and then the TTS when that was new. The manuals that came with them were quite informative when learning to put the pieces together. The manual for the PV is terrible. Being able to fall back on those previous methods plus trying different methods gleaned from about half a dozen posters to this thread has helped me develop my present tune. ColoSpgsMark is one of them, iclick is another.

Beta testing the new product resulted in a few ah huh moments. We try to share some of the short cuts and situations encountered and some of the methodology we use to double check our results, all the while knowing that discoveries are made through mistakes. Guess all we can do is toss our ideas out there to be used. What worked for me may work for others, may not.

Not looking to be challenged, if it works pass it on, if it doesn't it's not really worth getting into a peeing contest over.

Has anyone worked with the EGR tables yet? I have been hoping some instructions would come forth. I had a handfule of cells maxed out at 127.5. On my last run, AT prompted me to adust the CI. Now my 103 is a 111. Not sure that EGR adjustments are necessary now. But there are values in there. Have no clue what impact they had or now have given that my CI adjusted and my VE's were dropped proportionately.

Secondly, I saw in the documentation that there is to be IVO settings available as well. My map doesn't have it available. Might be just as well. It it was there, I'd just be able to stare at it wondering if it were correct or not.

I tried this a few months ago https://www.hdforums.com/forum/10448428-post3356.html The easiest way to explain it would be to look for the valleys or troughs in the VE 3D map. If the valley is at 3000 rpms go to the CDE table and increase the number that is at 3000 rpms. You'll have to experiment with it. I went from a value of 42 to 55 and the trough began to disappear. Keep notes on what you changed and how much difference it made. I did one area at a time and was pleased with the results. I ran out of good testing weather and will continue further with it in the spring. I think I read somewhere that it will affect those areas 60kpa and below. When you get to the point that you are visually satisfied that the valley has filled in you can start to smooth if you desire.
I don't know if this is the correct way, but it worked for me. Still waiting for improved documentation.

Same as Delta, but I only tried it once. I did do some reading on the TTS forum and they indicated it only has impact at 60 KPa and below.

Thanks for the info. I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the CDE tables. It seems that no matter what the CDE is set to, the amount of fuel being calculated as needed would be the same as just letting the VE's do what they want during AT.

Did you set a value in the CDE table, save the file to PV, then do an autotune run to see what the change was? (I know dumb question)

Just changing the value won't show the expected change to the VEs.
