Look at your log files in Excel and see where the pinging is occurring. Subtract 2 degrees from the area where the pinging occurs and possibly adjacent cells.
Run another log and repeat until you get rid of the pinging.
I hear you but my question is: can a tune change over one tank of crappy (or low octane) fuel? It was NOT pinging before this event.
I have another question.... why would the map that Dynojet have 0's in the 1700 and 2300 rpm range in the Active Exhaust Duty Cycle Table (for 1 - 4 gear). Shouldn't they all be 89.8 or does it matter?
The database I got from another member and he showed me were it is downloaded to on the PC but if you just got yours you probably have only done this update.
I just went to the site and they only have one firmware version up. Any idea where to get an earlier version?

AFV trim may have been adjusted by the tank of bad fuel. Run an autotune and select reset learned fuel trim values before flashing to clear AFV and restart the learning process.
I would like to utilize Trip Center to monitor things. I realize one can (needs to) calibrate the fuel used. However, I am more concerned about the distance displayed. I found that the distance was often in conflict with my dash odometer. It would be missing mileage.
What I discovered is this:
*If I leave Trip Center on the display, the distance matches the odometer.
*If I go to other gauge screens to view other items (knock count, MAP, temp, etc.) and come back to Trip Center, this is when the PV "loses" miles.
This is far from desirable operation of the function. Does this occur for anyone else?

Doesn't happen on mine. I have calibrated the trip distance to match the odometer. No problems and i don't bother to display distance.
