The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I recently had Andrews 48H cams installed in my 2007 FLHTCUI, so I decided that it was probably time to pony up and get a PV. I upgraded the pipes and AC previously, but my independant loaded a tune on the bike for me so I really didn't *have* to get a tuning device. The cams changed that

I was able to find a used PV for $138 and purchased the unlock from DJ so I could pair it to the bike. All in for $338 ain't bad. Backed up the tune that was currently loaded and I started auto-tuning it. Bike was running pretty good, but I know the map was setup for stock cams, so I asked DJ for a map. They gave me a map for a 2007, 96", 2-2, with 48H cams.
There are insane differences between the base map they sent and my existing (autotuned) map. Base map they sent runs like crap, and autotuning it (basic) doesn't really work so well because they went open loop on the majority of the cells. I ran it for 10-15 minutes, stopped, saved the at results, and then loaded the results to autotune further. 20 minutes later I stopped again, and it asked me to scale/cap. I had read that first you should scale, and then cap after that, so I scaled. It bumped my displacement up to 103.5. Decel popping like crazy, popping when shifting, popping when accelerating around 2500rpm.
DJ's advice was to copy the VE tables from my "known good" map to their tune. I did this last night, only copying the modified cells over (I had hit like 90% of cells on the rear, and 75-80% on the front). Loaded this tune this morning, and the bike wouldn't idle without giving it gas (holding it to 1500-2000 let it run, but letting off the throttle = instant cutoff). I didn't really go further with it.
Does anyone have a good map they can pass along?
Setup:
2007 FLHTCUI, 96"
Stock heads
Andrews 48H Cams
Bassani Stepped Powercurve Headers
Bassani Megaphone Exhaust
Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 Intake (I also have a K&N)
I've attached a zip with some maps:
* at_10252015 - my "working" map, autotuned several times
* 07T096_48H_2-2 - map provided by DJ for my setup
* dj-base-custom-ve - DJ's base map with my VE tables
* dj-at-102915 - 07T096_48H_2-2 that has been autotuned twice
