Power Vision Information Thread
In my search I see the ECM actually compares a requested VE to those around it and will ignore a material change. But I believe that is for newer ECM versions than the 2001 I am tuning. Learn a lot comparing what is available from (and what can be done with) the ECM comparing my 2010 and 2001 WinPV charts and menus.
Cheers again

The smoothing seems to be a little on the aggressive side to me. (no expert)
Looking through VEs in my logs, it looks like the ECU will use values between two adjacent cells when the other parameters are in between. Say you are running 3250 rpms, it will use the 3000 and 3500 VE values to estimate the value at 3250. (it seems to do the same with ignition timing)
If you running a closed loop / adaptive control tune, the CLI / AFF will also be used in calculating the fuel injection duration in closed loop portions of the tune.
I have only looked at data for a 2007-2013 Sportster, I have seen the newer tunes for the Sportster have added additional capabilities such as knock control and "Lambda range" to widen the closed loop control capability with the heated O2 sensors starting in 2014.
The tuner maker would have to take you on the same journey as these books to expalain their tools for working with eg MAP / VE / WOT etc
HOWEVER - thats for tuning instructions. Regarding all the other stuff you can do with a PV I too would love a guide on setting up gauges etc. I see riders showing their cylinder head temps etc and think ooh must try that but......
Fuel Moto has a list of PV info: Choose the "Downloads" tab (under the Buy Now box)

My question is when I went to Quick Tune and clicked through to the screen with the EITMS and Knock Sensor etc. The EITMS selection was greyed out and there was no check mark. I tried to check it but couldn't. I rolled the throttle and the engine light turned colors. That says to me that it is working, right?
I checked the knock sensor and it went on and off as I expected.
Am I supposed to be able to check the EITMS.?
I have read there is a place that the temperature the EITMS comes on and off at can be adjusted. Where might I find that?
I know I could call Fuel Moto tomorrow but I figured this was just a beginners question that might be better placed here.
Thanks

Does it support EITMS?
If you have a computer with WinPV installed you can download your tune from the PowerVision and look at the settings.

The EITMS temp are in the Environment Folder.
The Enable / Disable EITMS is under Limits and Switches.
I guess the same question is for ACRs as well.
Thanks
