When it's my* $52 000 *on the line, my risk.... I'm waiting to see if the early adopters have problems.
Should have got a car and had change
Bit hard to go "***** in the wind" in such an enclosure.
The desire to be "***** in the wind" doesn't mean you're a financial moron - as much as I love riding, $52k is too much to lay down on a "existing for 2 years" problem.
Hence my stance - let the early adopters try out the 2019's, see if they've fixed the two big problems.

So what exactly is it that you do ride and when was the last time you rode it?
Problems? Just a few in the last 8000 miles. Headlites not adjusted perfect ..... fixed in 5 min.
even at 42-46 mpg.... gas tank always empty WTH!!!
The ride? Pfffffft hate how much better it is than the last 2011..... makes me go another extra 100 miles a day!!!
The motor just pulls and pulls like and ole KTA600 Cummins!!( truck drivers will know what that is)
Kinda boring with nothing to fix !!
yep .... nothing but problems ....... getting back to house now and than to wash clothes and mow the damn lawn.

Ok my 2017 Road Glide has over 6K Miles, I had to change the oil, does that count as a problem? Also, I cant stop riding it, very addictive that must count as a problem.

The thing is - not one of these working perfectly bikes changes the fact that there are other people who get fluid transfers and sumping.
That a good thing exists doesn't make the bad ones "go away".
And for all that you speak about how good they are... if someone buys one thinking "Oh, it won't hit me, it's 1 in 500" and then gets a sumper... none of you are affected, none of you lose time riding and/or money... and the ill feeling and despair.

My trouble free Road Glide
pretty
much the same issue with my 2018 Street Glide Anniversary. So far Ive replaced the starter cover, lower cylinder case, brake reservoir caps, grips, seat and installed rear saddlebag crash bars. These were all replaced by chrome. And I also had to have the 1,000 service done and had to replace my exhaust with SE Street Cannons. This bike is dollaring me to death. Hopefully I never have to use my 7 year warranty.
