cool. can you tell if the baffles are designed to be removable/replaceable? i assume they must be. I opted for them because I like the slash up design and black heat shields.
Ultra Limited....After only 200 miles on the stage 3 kit (1100 on the bike) the bike developed a loud ticking/knocking in the engine.its at the shop now. I'll update what they find the issue. The initial diagnosis is cracked head. Evidently this has happened several times while doing the upgrade.
Evidently the front head was leaking water into the cylinder and it is toast. I saw it today and it is grooved in several places. The top of both pistons and the valves were very black...almost sticky looking to me. Harley Rep is supposed to look st it tomorrow and we will go from there. Looks like it's gonna be a new top end.

What's amazing is that the amount of folks who have had issues is minuscule compared to the folks who've had zero issues and absolutely love their new rides. Yet the posts in this thread would have one believe that the new engine is a lemon and that HD is only a step away from a recall. Lol!
HD of Atlanta brought my Road King back to me today. Basically a ten dollar part did the bike in. Kudos to HD of Atlanta for both picking it up and bring it back.
Not a problem but an observation, my 17 Road King's left exhaust exit point is definitely darker than the right side which looks nearly clean. With my boxer and even my older BMW K I used to have I could excuse it to cylinder arrangement and being on kick stand.
With the RK all I have is the kick stand, the cylinders are vertical so I wonder whats up

A loaner should be a given if the issue can not be fixed before closing, same day. I know GM does as do most all of the foreign car mfgr's. In fact, my servicing Corvette dealer will give me a loaner even if it is a same day fix just so I don't have to hang out. They want to Keep me from trying to run off with the 40 ish hottie at the front desk ............
