Correct. But tire and install is gonna run $250.- 300.
Spark plugs $10.
Unless M8 plugs are $50 each 4 LOL
Have you asked what the dealer gets to change the 4 plugs in labor only ? Don't forget, you have to have the new removal tool to do this. So add in that cost.

I used to be able to as well. Sadly not so now due to multiple shoulder surgeries. It just jacks me no end that to change the plugs, now it takes a special tool. One that is in such short supply that the dealers were only given one each ! I was going to buy it so my servicing indie would have one. On back order status I was told. Release date unknown.
More and more companies are engineering their products to where the consumer will need to pay them to do the maintenance. Toyota sticks out as an example. But I just bought their special fluted ratchet adapter for the oil filter and do my own oil changes anyway.
I do my own maintenance and buying special tools has always been a part of it... the availability of the spark plug tool is kinda interesting. I have one on backorder and three different dealerships all told me about the shortage but all of them have more than one hand - so I'm not sure where that one per dealer rumor started. But it's like most rumors, people with agendas keep pushing it forward.
But more importantly, two of the dealerships I spoke to kinda chuckled about the whole problem. It's not like I really NEED that tool anytime soon. The dealers have only used it during the very very few stage II or III upgrades they've done. It's going to be a few months before I actually need to replace a spark plug.

My dealer for one, had only one issued to him when the bikes were intro'd in Aug. Evidently the supply chain has loosened up some since then. They still aren't letting the general public have them. That sucks.

I'm general public and I have one on order. An indy near me has one.
