I have excessive blowby from the aircleaner and now the oil pressure light comes on at idle.
I took a video of it. I went out for a little ride at highway speed. Rode about 5 minutes. Pull into the driveway and shut it down. Grabbed the camera and started it back up.
Oil light on, rev it up and it goes out. Comes back on again a few minutes later. Oil level is about 3/4 of the way to the top of the full line.
Has yours had the ECM update to increase Idle speed. I just wonder if that has anything to do with it. At 1000 service they did an ECM flash update on mine for idle speed.

Nope. I havent brought it in for service yet. Going to arrange that today. Just worried about getting it to the shop as it is about a 45 minute ride from my house. Seems like there is no issue when I am riding, but as soon as I stop the light comes on.
the only place you get good reviews on the stainless mesh filters is where they make or sell them, fact is thet do flow more oil + dirt + do not filter as good as a quality filter with synthetic media. look closely as many K+N filters are made in China!!!
Okay, so here's the deal on my bike: Oil pump is "disintegrating" (tech's description) so will require tear down, complete clean-up of oil passages and re-assembly. Oil light coming on was indication of the pump breakdown. In my case, the light was not coming on only at idle but would come on at start and stay on. I think this is bike 4 for my dealer. Well, a week or so without the bike, but hopefully, we'll be back on the road soon! 4,400 miles.
I noticed this on my rear cylinder today. Just under rocker cover. It was wet there and a drip on rear headpipe. Has anyone seen this? I wiped it off and rode and it hasn't returned. I am not sure it's a problem yet but I m keeping a close eye on it. Bike has 257 miles on it.

We got some pretty greasy bugs here this time of year.
Same thing here, and the oil light on at idle.
They are taking the engine apart right now.
Thank you

It's mid way when stone cold and at the full mark when hot. I've had 3 twin cams since 2002 and none did this. I normally kept them all at full when hot. Well at least when I did an oil change. Never really had to add oil between changes. My last CVO did start dripping oil out of the filter at about 30k miles but replacing the breather valve in the rear cylinder cured the problem.
Well I picked the bike up today from the dealer. Under instruction from the tech support folks from Harley they performed a leak down check (good) and replaced both breather assemblies, they were full of oil. Harley support wasn't sure if this would correct the problem but asked me to leave the oil level where it's at, about 2 dots below full hot and come back in after 500 miles for another look. That's what I'll do. I'll report back how it goes.
