and what exactly does "this" mean or is this meant to be a guessing game?
I have no idea. Pulled into a parking lot and the engine died and wouldn't start. It looks like it is leaking from a sensor on the bottom of the oil pan (crankshaft position sensor?)
i had to call in for a tow and left it at the dealership- they are closed and i really hope it doesn't get stolen.
Wonder how tight that fastener is? Might need some thread locker next time and a new seal.
Yup, that is an external frapulator that has lost it's prime. Good thing it was not the internal one cause that would create another whole set of problems. Were you using MOCO oil or a brand X?

Frapulator, seriously? i've heard of Twangulators and Flutenators but Frapulator is a first for me
Looks like this might be more of a self inflicted wound than a problem with the M8. We are suspecting that I bottomed out on something which did damage to the sensor under there. Still, pretty bad place to put a sensor.
Do they make skid plates for 2017 street glide specials? That will probably be my next purchase.
hard to tell from the pic, but are you saying there is visible impact evidence, did you recall leading up to the spill that you ran over something, is that light spot a ding?
"Still, pretty bad place to put a sensor. "...no kidding
