I agree. I just traded in a 2015 Limited with a Thundermax Tuner, high flow AC, slip-ons, removed Cats, and no matter how it was tuned it still pinged at near to full throttle and bad when it was hot out. Harley didn't care and my Indy could seem to get it tuned right I guess. The new CVO Limited runs way better stock and I believe I will just keep it that way. Plus maybe my ears won't ring as bad after a long ride!!

Same here very happy with the power and exhaust note on our both CVOs did few mods on our 15 Limiteds my left ear would ring from annoying exhaust, I would have left those alone but the pinging made me install fuel mgmt and exhaust.
I just purchased a 2017 street glide special, no upgrades or modifications and I went through the break in process as directed. Yesterday as I was riding and the speedometer dropped to zero and when I tried to pull over to take a look at the check engine light came on and the engine stalled. After turning everything off and then restarting the bike the speedometer worked fine and I got back on the road.
A short time later as I was shifting through the gears I noticed that the third gear was starting to lunge and jerk. This happen consistently for the next 50 or so miles it took for me to get back home. I drove it to the service department this morning and they took a look at it . I received a call later in the day from the service tech and he told me that there was a sheared shim in the gear pack. They are going to install a new gear pack and I should be back on the road soon. All of this happen with about 200 miles on the bike .

The M8 tranny is essentially the same as the 6 speed TCs only the addition of an anti backlash gear on first.. One thing to note is that there is a possible issue on assembly where 2 1/2 rings can fall out of place as the layshaft is pressed into the cam plate. If messed up on assembly, this will screw up.. This is the reason for the warranty. It was an most likely and assembly issue. Once it's fixed properly, don't worry about it.
Any ideas on the speedo and check engine light? Im not too worried, the hd dealer is taking care of me - even offered to replace with new bike.
If the tranny started eating itself up, the speedo sensor gets covered with crap and has issues. This messes up the speedo. This can cause stalling and error codes.
I just got 2017 Electra glide with the new m8 after 380 miles I got oil comes out of the air filter called the dealer and I have app next week will see what happens
