I'm getting a set of MX and Rinehart 45's later this week, I'll keep you posted on the sound.

Do you have any slip ons now? Just wondering if you have anything to compare the pipe to instead of installing everything at once.

Can anyone point me to any sound clips (especially like a startup and idle) of the M8 with Fullsac?

I added the MX head pipe and am extremely happy with it. Can't speak to performance as I changed the cam at the same time, but the sound is awesome. I've been told by quite a few riders that it's the best M8 they've heard yet. Of course your mufflers will have most control over the sound, however the heat is noticeably less and it's as loud as a twin cam now.

I have used Steve George's Fullsac X-Pipe since he first came out with them mid year in 2009 after the new frame change. (IIRC)

I have even upgrade from the "B" X-Pipe, and then again to the "D" X-Pipe for the twin cam motors which is similar to what the "MX" X-Pipe is to the M8 bikes.

Using Fullsac X-Pipe, CVO Fullsac Baffles, Screens and Steve Coles TTS Mastertune Turner is a PROVEN RECIPE for a great running motorcycle.

One thing to remember that MOST folks don't realize is, Fullsac products are not a "off the shelf" mass produced multi-million dollar company! Steve George is a small business owner with less employees then fingers on one hand.

Another thing to remember, Steve took his time and made several different prototype "MX" X-Pipes before he finally released to maximize the Best Torque and Horsepower numbers where MOST folks really ride. And Dynoed proven for each prototype headers until he got the very best results and only then he released.

As far as pricing is involved, right in line with with any other aftermarket good header. HOWEVER, Fullsac does offer a Forum discount to CVOHarley forum members. He may offer to forum members over here too.

Lastly, Fullsac is a dealer for TTS Mastertune Turner making them a one stop shop. Easy Pezy.

JMHO,

YB

Default Good Purchase

I went with the Fullsac MX Header on my new 2018 SGS. The build quality of this stainless pipe looked excellent right out of the box. I have done many pipe installs over the years and I can tell to this header "fell" right on. I have had to twist, angle, rotate various header pipe designs on in the past to get them on. This header went on like it was a factory piece with out a hitch. Heat shields fit perfect as well. I had Steve put his cores in my factory mufflers during a ride through Arizona before getting the header just a few days after getting my bike. Now Heavy Breather, Fullsac header and 2" cores, and TTS tuner... Running great. Thanks to both Mr. George and Mr. Cole.

is any manufacturer making a head pipe with a normal sized outlet on the gas side, so you have the choice of buying any muffler, vice paying big coin for new 2017/18 specific muffs with the bigger inlet?

i am holding off buying a head pipe right now, because I believe someone will build a new head pipe for the old mufflers.

S&S makes such a header. Has the same size outlets. So you can run any muff from the twin cam era.

I'm really interested to know this as well. I'm trying to decide between the Fullsac and Fuel Moto options, but there just isn't very much info on the Fullsac at all. Seems like not a lot of folks are running this option.
