Default Battery tender plug in.

Bought a battery tender for my 17 rk special went to install the plug on the bike and pull the cover and find this plug on left side of bike. Is one already on the bike? I don't see where it comes back to battery and it is not installed on the top battery posts. Does it come installed on the bike? The plug matches the tender but concerned that isn't it.

It comes up to some more wires that are wrapped that I can't see where it goes too either. Just not sure if that is the plug for tender or not.

Yes,it is the factory installed tender. you will see a little slit in the bottom of the caddy where you run the harness out before you put the side cover on, it hangs down for your convenience.

Yeah mine has it too. I think the + is connected to the starter, and the - the transmission ground post.

Lol it's the tender. Was annoyed when I bought the bike, had to buy another one for the right side because I have to park the left side of my bike next to some shelves, no room to get at it.

The dealership I got my 2017 FLTRXS has it wired up and out and next to the seat strap on the bike. I just removed the seat strap and I have the tender hookup zip tied to the remaining chrome bracket, so much easier to attach my tender there.

There are a couple of suggestions where the "Factory installed Tender" wire ends are located/connected .... Without messing around through all the wiring etc ,, does someone know where they are connected for future reference ???

If your bike does not come installed with battery tender cable ,,, the cable you buy,, the ends ,, would go to battery terminals ....

Thanks everyone and yes GTK it was in the manual and was unclear because it also talked about installing one as well. Since the tender came with terminal connectors and the one on the bike wasn't attached the the positive and negative terminals nor could I locate an inline fuse like on the one that came with it I thought I would ask the great group of people on the forum knowing someone would have to be a dick about it.
