This is some out of the box oil coolers I have ran.
I have a few more but know pictures.
All these coolers are much larger than anything Harley, jagg, or Dk sells. If you believe those little wimpy oil coolers with fans are gonna help.
Go ahead a gettcha some.
Therm-Tex with three big sky fans behind it. Fans didnt do crap to bring down temps. Feral hyper cool 19 row cooler with two large fans. Again fans didnt do anything. The latest that works the best is two 20 Derale heat sinks without fans. Hold over qt 1/2 more oil. Still heats up at stop and go traffic. But recovers much sooner than the others.
If you even needed something this ridiculous, something very, very wrong!
I'll see your ridiculous cooling system, and raise you my dry ice dispenser cooling idea,..working with engineering as we speak as well as patents and trademark infringement legal issues with my attorney ... I'm going to have the coolest Harley ever, literally and figuratively !!!
This ***** is hilarious!! Way to break up the afternoon
When did they start making Flux capacitors for Harley s? That there, is some ugly *** repugnant *****! The added extra weight and drag would probably increase the engine load/oil temps alone! Never lost and engine due to heat, so I think I am OK with my FAN mounted cooler.
They have been around for years.
Dan Moore made them and did all the testing.
You're assuming that the reason for adding head oil cooling was to make things run cooler and therefore more reliable. Not sure that is the issue.. From what I can see it was to allow the motor be bigger and run leaner without burning up.. Cole did a bunch of early testing and found M8 actually ran a little hotter than TCs (IIRC).
The OEM heat sensor is in a hotter location on the M8 than the Twin Cam. (front of rear cylinder on M8 and rear of front cylinder on Twin Cam)
The Big difference in oil temps is the absence of an oil cooler on the Twin Cooled models. Here is a video showing some test results...the Twin Cooled run Hotter than the non-twin cooled...this is true for Twin Cams and M8's.
I have a 2022 RGS with stock motor and exhaust. Has a tank lift and heat shroud on right side only. It was 113 today and I was running 75 for over an hour. Power Vision head temp maxed out at 354. I also have the Harley oil cooler fan. I don't do much stop and go but I have never seen over 340 stop and go. Got another year on the warranty so if it melts it melts....

The Power Vision has two readouts for engine temp.
ET
and
Head Temp.
ET is the actual readout from the oem heat sensor.
Head temp is a calculated number based on a complicated algorithm. It can vary wildly in a 10 second period of time.
The actual sensor reading (ET) is what is valuable to look at when monitoring temperatures. Anything over 270F is compromising performance and engine longevity.

Im not sure I agree with the statement that anything above 270 compromises longevity. Most M8s (stock included) run well above 270 at speed in summers. Youre suggesting that every bike sold in the south is being damaged by those temps?
I realize you are marketing products, but your engine damaging temps are not realistic.
