they do not stock pile engines at the engine plant your engine will be built sometime in the previous couple of weeks to the build date.
Thank you this was the answer I was looking for, and thanks for the other replies it does make for a few laughs reading them and yes I'm still buying the StreetGlide that I ordered regardless wether the issues have been fixed.
Yep same schit different day man , it's getting old isn't it.
Like why even be here if you're not an M8 owner with nothing to offer at all, oh yea to make the poor bastards who are having issues feel like punks , to keep banging the drum while these poor lads try and sort their bikes out. Think about those guys for a minute, or he did and that's why he does it..Kick these guys while they're down FFS, makes you feel good?.
Real quality stuff a real human being!
Think it through FFS!
As far as the build date making a difference, from what I've seen on this forum, anything after 2016 is a total crap-shoot!
I have an M8....... its been perfect. I love riding it. I spent a lot of money on it and up to now, no problems. Why is it you continuously put down these bikes? If you cant stand Harley Davidson, why do you love your 2015 Rushmore? Why do you keep putting down our bikes man? My goodness, give it a rest man..... come on.

You were lucky, just like me when I got my trouble-free (so far) '15 - others aren't. I'm not putting down your bike, or anybody else's, just the company that won't, or can't, take care of its customers who have problems.
I have zero respect for the MoCo, its management or its policies, but complete empathy for the folks who they blow off when they have problems.
Hell, I went through that with the '03 RK I bought and then had to figure out why it kept kicking back and stripping the starter drive. the H-D "techs" and the MoCo were clueless and no help at all.
