How many HP/TQ are you running? Have you put the beans to it in the past?

I only have Woods 22xe cam with canned tune. Should be around 130 ft lbs and 120 hp at best. I don't do burnouts and stuff but I do accelerate briskly sometimes.

Good info, thanks. At about 100 with Feeling 465 and stock primary. My friend has a stock 114. I'm upgrading, but
I don't know about my friend. He doesn't push the bike so he may be OK.

Default I know this is an old thread but relevant

How does that compare with the 4140 and 4130?
I talked to Wes at Cyclerama today. I have a heavily built 124”, with 12:1CR, and my numbers weren’t what they should have been. Everything is properly installed and working, so we deduced it must be the Comp. Sprocket(props to Maxheadflow, for first alerting me to the BDL possibly being the issue, or part of it, and OldMike). I’m currently using the BDL compensator. I have an Evolution Ind. 49T clutch basket, and the increased diameter rendered the Hayden M6 problematic. I was thinking of Darkhorse, but Wes was saying they’re noisy, and for $550, I want perfection. Anyway, here’s where it gets relevant; I did some research, and if you search “EN36 vs 4140”, the EN36 is stronger in almost every field, and better in all categories that matter. The way I see it, it’s worth the ~$400, to have piece of mind I won’t be suffering a parasitic loss, at the hands of a lousy comp.. To be fair, the difference between the two metals is marginal, it’s almost the same, but according to the analysis I read, the EN36 was slightly better.
Also, if anyone cares, Evolution Industries said they’re coming out with a better Primary Chain tensioner, this summer. BOLO
