Default oil change question.
Is the procedure the same for changing oil on softtail models as touring models?

Basically......Drain oil. Swap filter. Replace oil.

Maybe I asked the wrong question. What I meant was,are the drain plugs in the same places or how do I drain the oil tank?

The engine oil drain plugs are not in the same location.
The softails drain the oil tank from the right rear frame.
Baggers drain from the front of the oil pan.

Been wrenching on Harleys for 30 years. If anybodys in the Apple Valley,CA area,I do bike services and use Amsoil.
