Every year for my wife and my anniversury I take her on a trip somewhere here in Oregon for a couple days. We've been to the coast, belknap Springs X2 and would like to try something new and exciting. Remember, it must be here in Western Oregon. Any ideas? Thanks for all suggestions.
Wish I could helpl, but not familiar with western Oregon ...
However, I seem to make points by picking nice B&B's to stay in ... destination not necessarily that important, but a nice place to stay helps a lot. Always a kick to roar into a B&B ...

I'm in Springfield. Been up and down the coast my whole life. Belknap Springs is still open. Very nice place to go. We've been there twice in the last three years. We're thinking somewere over around bend, but more ideas are welcome. Thanks

Astoria is a great place. You can visit the Astoria Column and Fort Columbia. There's a great little tavern there called Triangle Tavern, located on Hwy 101, underneath the Astoria Bridge. They serve up a mean local brew called, "Bill's Swill", a dark colored beer almost like a stout, but tasting like something I've never tasted before in my whole life. A couple of pints can do you in.
Ann. isn't until March so we have a little while to figure it out, but we just want to get a head start. The rain is pretty crazy right now. Nothing we can't handle, but it's to much for me. Thanks Grump
