Default Looking For Advice

My 1960 pan is a foot shift, like all other 1960 pans. I'm considering converting to a foot clutch, hand shift, which was only available as an option in 1960. i've been told by friends that it would look stupid , as it was not offered as standard equip but i want to convert anyway. any thoughts out there?

Foot clutch and hand shift came in 1960 ,my parts book shows them from 1947-1965 ,and even then they made them but they changed slightly ..Look up OEM part number 33789-47 .Its the number for the shift lever guide,it goes on the tank.
I wish I had that set up on my 59 pan..I think it would be cool looking.
