Alaska - Going Solo.
You must clearly know PA1105, that u r helping out more than just me. Heck, that goes for everyone chiming in with such great info.
@2AMGuy I forgot to reply to your comment abt a siphon. We must really think alike mate. Ever since I started riding, I carry a siphon. In fact my friend, until abt 2 yrs ago, I stopped carrying 2. I carried 2 bcs if someone needed one out there on the roads, I would just let them keep it. But now, I only do local riding and running outta fuel is not so likely. BUT, I still carry one.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! Also mate, I remember reading about this (not that post tho....i think) in the past.
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!
At the moment, I think the south end of the Dalton Hwy (Fairbanks) is the highest I am likely going.
Was scratching my head abt a fuel stop on that 490 mile ride north. There has GUTTA be a refueling. Most people on bikes I doubt are carrying extra fuel. Maybe (I am too new at this righ tnow....I am learning) abt half way up to Deadhorse (Pudhoe Bay as u knw) is the Artic Circle Sign BUT I think there is also a small town there to refuel. ??? If you do not know off the top of your head b55, no worries. Likely not going up. Just curious.
I did not see in your write up my friend, when you are headed (were headed) north of Whister/Black Comb mountain, that road that take you up there route 97 by Prince George then west on CA-16 then up to Destruction Bay, etc..... that is all:
1. 2 lane
2. ALL hardtop?
3. No bears likely?
4. Any issues with places to stay?
5. Any issues with refueling?
Thanks!

Once you get into Northern BC and beyond, you will see a lot of black bears. They are not a nuisance, but there are plenty to see. I only saw one brown near on my trip. YMMV
I didn't have any issues with lodging or fuel, but I id pre-plan my fuel stops. In northwestern Canada, most of the gas stations are not pay-at-the-pump, so you have to visit during business hours.
Good luck in your planning and ride. Hope they open the border back up soon.
I got a service in Vancouver , and then made it all the way to Edmonton Before the next one… After Edmonton I kept on continuing east to Ontario, before I turned West and came back through the heartland and into Wyoming.

1. That road up to Dease Lake.......I saw a sign saying 55 for speed. Huh? I did not say Km or MPH. Maybe it was not a speed sign. But 55 km is only like 35 mph. Do you remember what speed you were going? In miles per hour?
2. Was it fun. You are on that like for 1K+ miles. 2 lane. Looks NICE but boring as all hell after a while. No real scenery like much for lakes or Mtns on that road. Do I have it wrong?
3. There seems to be fuel. Every 170 miles you think?
4. Not much for lodging either it seems. REAL lodging not an RV Campground.
Can you address the above items?

I just came across this north of Whistler.

Really? That is the speed? I know the road is 2 lane and turns alot and sure, there are road kills and maybe something live........but 60km/h? Basically 37 MPH the whole way? WTF?
