if time wasn't an issue I'd take 60 to Wickenberg then 89N thru Prescott/Jerome/Cottonwood/Sedona to Flagstaff then W on I40 to Seligman Rt66W to Kingman then US93N to Vegas. You could even stay a nite at the canyon on the way there and shoot 93 straight back.
Thx to both... fortunately.. time is NOT an issue.. Love this route, flhxkiller!

Gotta say, for someone in Michigan, you got that route mapped out perfectly. Only thing I would add, going or coming back, take old Route 66 west of Kingman and ride out to Oatman. Cool road, the burros on main street, and just browsing around town is a fun afternoon.
spend a few weeks in AZ every year in the fall, was gonna put the Oatman leg in too, just wasn't sure of the amount of time they had. Next year we're headed towards the Coranodo Trail and that side of the state.
Had a great trip .. just over 1100 miles...made the trip very easy and enjoyed each destination..
Day 1 - Phx to Flagstaff

Day 5 - Stayed in Zion and hiked all day
Day 6 - Zion to Las Vegas
Day 7 - More time in Vegas than headed back to Phx
