Not on yet as doing neck bearing and rebuild fork tubes.... but you can see i run the allen screws on bottom. When done i leave screw out....put lights on and adjust. Than have one allen that sharp on end...screw it in to make a mark in towel rack. Next i scratch a line under top of bracket.....tig weld a nub.... put it back together with allen bolt lined up with indent in towel rack. Tighten it down till upper flat stays level and hit nub i welded on. So basically i have 2 places it grabes on. I use chrome lock nut if no signal lights like this one will be...
Nice new neck bearings now..( tractor supply)..this ole iron probably will ride better than some of the everyday stuff i work on. You cant believe how many newer bikes that the dealers have just done that the bearings are not only wiped out..,but dry.( than they try to adjust bearings that are junk ) My favorite homemade tool for installing lower stem bearings. I never remove cups from frame unless damage. Freeze bearing races they fall in place 2 taps....... forks tubes and new set of cow bells that started all this lmao..... need to finish up tonight need this lift again in morning. Now what weight oil am i going to use in forks........

the frames paint is awful - but I guess it does not bother some people to have paint on a frame like that
I certainly know what I would be doing tonight - few wrenches a radio tuned to 60s music and away we go as Jacky G use to say
????? I been drinkin... but... I don't see awful... Perfectionist ... I am Not... I ride the stem winding **** out of My Bikes... and Gravel roads are hell on 'em... but ... I don't own a Helicopter... so....
Reminds me; We had a large... high Pay-out, Bike show Once... best real estate was a beautiful... park like spot in a Yard... Bunches didn't participate because they didn't take their bikes off the Pavement... "for any Reason"

Lmao....2 words for u John.....aint happy birthday either. Actually this thing still has the 2 factory silver stickers with vin and federal what ever on down tubes.....ill wipe the frame off just for you.hows that? Left tank is dented scratched badly so it needs a bit more than front of frame painted. Tins are a mess as far as scratches ...but i do run on dirt and gravel roads a lot. There are a complete set of tins with all the correct 82 medalions in decent shape....2 grand on ebay..Not gonna happen. This was to be a working bike ....it will be safe and get more maintenance than most garage queens but never the less a work horse. I tend to ride 10-11 months out of the years here in new england.....on the bike if its over 22 degrees and i aint in the plow truck or loader. Well its a roller again. Might have to actually buy handle bar bushings....some reason i dont have any. Gonna blow my 250 dollar restoration budget on this one lmfao...

Wayyyy back in time... Both my Brother and I had 1968 ElectraGlides... Guess what we used for "Rounding Up" when the Cattle Got Out.!!!
Later on I learned that the XLCH was superior at "wrangling"... my Brother... slow learner... I bet he uses that same '68 Glide for such duties today!!!
