On this one cheap...probably something soft. Most times use the polyurethane on customer stuff as lots run apes..... I might just spin off a set tonight in lathe. Still have my durometer from racing so ill go thru some plastic stock find a bit softer plastic/ poly. Might have a set of body lift ones from a silverdo that were softer than normal ill cut up...

Later on I learned that the XLCH was superior at "wrangling"... my Brother... slow learner... I bet he uses that same '68 Glide for such duties today!!!
Always had fun with all of the xlch bikes.....but knee not so good after starting those magnito ****** for 25 years...lol. Coulnt beat 600-800 bucks for a 61-64 in 1971...highschool. Lol

Well you gotta be a real cheap fluk to rebuild the speedo drive......lol. But i had a few parts kicking around wouldnt trust on customer bike.... this is bad... lmfao

Just sometimes a waste of time.... just made those bushing for bar risers. The old beat up ones durmeter at 45...so friggin soft. Made the new ones out of material that durometers 70......so big difference. Now to bang it all back together...friend keeps threatening to steal tins and paint. Lol. It does look pretty crappy......lmao.

if your not using a new drive and the correct grease to help it along in life - we had a guy like you on loose dirt roads his drive broke internally and locked the front wheel

used junk you wont use on someone else's bike BUT you will use junk on the awful looking lonely for paint OEM original frame bike With tags I might add

We need to remember, that even the cobblers kids had socks with holes in them....

Pretty much......if i could afford you i would find a nice one and drop it off. Lmao But as the saying goes....the shoemakers goes without shoes...... it will have to do. I left the druve dry...couldnt afford grease.....lol Besides i have been getting so much chit for doing this 82! Guys love my 77 and think i should keep it....lol. I dont even go near the 77 anymore...its too much fun. You screwed that up....i just had to have a frigging FLH frontend.

Yeah mine crapped out like that....i was riding along and i could hear this tick tick tick noise, wondering what it was, then the speedo stopped...ended up like Bumps, the tag broke ...i bought a new one
