Thanks guys, but I forgot to mention I have a 5-speed, so no plate. Today I lightly scuffed the clear and masked off the areas where texture black goes:

Three light dry coats 5 min apart:

Waited 20 min and removed masking tape:

I'll let this cure for a few days and install it next week.

@johnjzjz That's the pump that I have. I'll try to install the chain oiler screw like you said. Here's what an original one looks like:

that was early days of shovel ownership for me now i just park on the dirt just to be sure to be sure

The pump cover is design # 1 as it has the plug in the top for feed oil to the primary - i have the second design cover that hole is not drilled and correct for your year
