If I want to change to a forward control or a set of floor boards, there are no mounting points on the right side of the frame. What has been done on other bikes like mine in order to make stuff fit. Reason being the stock position of the pegs is too high and cramped. Perhaps a lowering kit, I dunno.
Yeah Harley cut them off the base models to make it hard to clone the FXS and others that came from the factory with highway bars. Someone sells a weld on part to put it back.

i found a place called Prestoncycle.com look on their web catalog , page 7 A 7 & it shows a weld on frame boss Part # F 4550, but a parts search showed it out of stock , maybe if you contact them they can give you ordering info , . . .
