And more of not much. Wasted used up bolts, and bracketry I am unsure of.
A broken front drum cover (big bummer), and well... Making lists of bolt sets I will need.
Plus studying illustrations... I am a first timer at this.
I am very bummed about this, didn't see it until a night or two ago. I feel it could be ridden without issue? Not that I aim to... I was just going to cheap out and run the drum front end.
Throw nothing away!!!!!!! What looks like junk today may get you out of a tight spot three months from now. Hardware that looks random becomes real important when you need that one bolt. Carry on.

And in a holding pattern...
I'm seeing +4 tubes on that front end, stock are 22-1/2" or so. means longer cowbells should there, would make sense with the long rear shocks. Factory was 13-1/2" with the round swing arm. She'll ride a bit higher but the upside is you won't be dragging stuff. I knocked holes in the primary from the kickstand twice and ground many a floorboard, foot peg and exhaust pipes not mention a bootheel or two before I raised mine.
I' bet somebody in here has an old front front unit for that they'll part with, try johnjzjz, hellowman of a few others if nothing else.
Not tossing anything guys.
I sure could use a square oil tank bracket orientation picture. Same goes for the fuel tank. The exploded views show the parts but not really how it all goes together...
Basic I know, but my random parts pile ain't helping me. I been scouring for pics & videos but I'm not finding what I need.
I have a tank mount kit and oil tank isolators/bolts kit coming... Looking to order up engine & trans bolts...
Figuring out the floorboards is also high on the list.
I don't think my oil tank & battery mount is quite right... (plus fitting in fresh isolators)
I see the 31" length thrown out for standard length forks, is this correct? My forks measure 31" from center of axle to top of the for tube (not the top of the triple clamp).
Anyway moot point right now, I have what I have.
I am gong to rebuild the forks (fluid & seals) & head bearings/races, swingarm pivot & shock mounts.
And chase threads, a lot of threads.
Thanks gentlemen, most helpful. I have isolators on the way, and maybe I have a mis-matched battery tray if thats possible. We'll see.
Its a slow puzzle for me at this point.
