Wiseco was always the first choice in my shop, even back in the 1980s, without a doubt.
I imported the parts directly from the USA via the wholesaler Drag Specialties back then, The manufacturer Wiseco was top quality, a very accommodating company, no complaints, ever.
These were usually piston kits for 1200 Shovelhead engines, in all variants, delivery times to Germany were just under 14 days, or less.
After some contemplation, I think I want to splurge a bit and go with all S&S stuff for my engine rebuild. My Dyna has all S&S parts in it that the po put in and I'm very happy with the way that bike runs. I'm thinking, 8:1 piston kit, heads, 450s cam, hydraulic lifters and quickee pushrods. The 450s cam seems like a good lower-mid rpm range cam according to their site, does anyone have any experience with it? The Andrews cams seem more mid-upper rpm accept for maybe the J grind. I'm not gonna be winding this thing out, I'd rather have some grunt. If I put the S&S heads on it it leaves it open to putting in pretty much any cam I want down the road if I don't like that 450s. My other option is to go with cheaper pistons and maybe the Andrews J grind, which claims it should work with my stock heads. It seems like a lot of the cast pistons are made in Taiwan and China. I'm sure they're fine but I just hate the idea of that. What do you guys think of an S&S upgrade for the FLT? Is it worth the price of admission? All that crap is gonna be more than the bike probably. Lol
