Default FLH Thumbwheel Trim *****

Hi,

My 76 Shovelhead FLH is well dressed with additional factory chrome side panels both left and right sides.
These are typically held on by chrome thumbwheel *****..5/16X24 thread.
I'm missing a couple of these and wonder if anybody may have knowledge of any spares kicking around..or where to get them.
Can't find them in the parts catalog..
Thx
Jim

they did not come on the bike from harley the dealer might have installed them at the time of sale when the bike was new - i know what you need and sometimes they are available at an antique meet but in the past we have made them from alloy round stock and it takes some doing to do but you can have that done if its really that needed right now if not you will have to go hunting -- jz

I'll look around and possibly find something else and change them all..Whatever these chrome additions are/were..they sure look good and precision fit to both sides of the bike..perfect contour around battery box as well as left side above exhaust...
thx

Since everything seems to be in 5/16x18 tou could maybe use a step stud and make you own. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-threaded-rods/=nx4b51 and http://www.amazonsupply.com/jw-winco...xtbin=jw+winco

Yes,correct..I have the 2 size *****..with same 5/16 X 24.
Need the 2 with the smaller head.
The larger head ones have shorter 3/8" thread reach..the small head has longer thread reach of 3/4".
