Mine broke at about 18K miles. E.G.-2006 hit it. Once you see what you have to do, it's off to the hardware store for bracket material and fasteners.
Have yourself a good drill bit set and visegrip clamps (small clamps are easier). Simple fix really. It's harder to get the fairing off and on than the repair itself.
I can't remember the name, but when I had old bike, I ordered replacement ones, think from forum advise from a company that made repair set, never had a problem after, and good pricing, maybe search here, but was a long time back
Nothing to it.Scrap aluminum angle and some pop rivets. You can also throw in one of these cheapo rubber antennas for local radio reception under the fairing, but I have no idea why anyone would want to listen to their garbage,I only just put it in so the radio kinda works.

I paid an Indy twice to fix the bracket on 06 Electra. Told me there were three improvements to the bracket, model # ending in b, I think. I went to Home Depot and bought some small L braces. First fix broke. On the second fix I used rubber washer between the bracket and L brace. Also bent the top of the bracket a little. Been good for the last two years.
