One of the things that always turn me off about the road keen all the additional chrome trimmings and lights and reflectors all over the front. Especially the vendor always loved busy did nothing for me. I know this is just a preference and there are many out there like all of that but the reason I Chose Rd., King special was the stripped-down look and feel. Harley decided to use the same exact front fender but took away the chrome trim and lights and doodads :-) I have been looking at sportier wraparound front fender that would hug the 19 inch wheel.
Looking to get some opinion and possible experience with mounting this type of vendor. What I really want to know is how close can I put the fender to the tire without their it becoming a problem? I have seen some of these with the big wheel run in this and fender so tight you couldn't slide a piece of paper between. Definitely do not want to get that tight. I have almost 2 inches of gap between the fender and the tire. I can easily read drill the mounting spots on the fender to get it to sit tighter on the tire but just don't know how close I can get without it becoming a problem? Anybody out there ever mount one of these types of fenders?
Fell in love the wrapper front fender. Got a nice deal on ext sides. Had to gel coat and prime everything, trim sides to fit HD stock bags. I did not want to lose and handling or performance of the bike. Just wanted a little custom look.
We painted color yesterday. The color seems a little off (slightly darker) . Was told the matte clear will lighten it up??
I am planning to do clear today. I ordered the paint thru HD to avoid color match issues.
Cant help but to think of what happens when you pick up a rock or something?
Looks cool as hell

I run a similar style fender in my Rocker, with over 90k miles I've had zero problems with it down at about 3/16" gap. Whenever I pick up a rock or clump of mud it spits it out no problem, at the clearance increases at it moves around, the rear is at about 1/2 inch. And FYI my inner fender is undercoated to protect the paint.
I just installed. 21” breakout wheel. Had it powder coated blacked. Several members asked if it could be done and yes it can. I put the lowers off of my street glide on and I’m just trying to decide if I like it??? Opinions??

That's looking great, man. Congrats on the sweet ride!
