What I AM saying is that, much like the OP, I had to take a look at what mattered. OP doesn't want to want to change a lot of internals. He wants to stay stock there but put a cam in. So to me, that reads that there is budget in mind. When I get the money, I will ABSOLUTLY to a cam job with all supporting internal mods that should and need to be done.


So if it comes down to budget, wait the cam out until all other parts can be purchased and installed.


If I am reading into that too much, please forgive me and I will shut my trap. It tends to get me into situations.......

That’s pretty much the position my answer came from as well!

Maybe I misunderstood the OP’s question.........

The wildest you can go is about 585 lift, 575 to be safe with stock springs. There are tons of options, some are dependent on exhaust or compression to get best results. I went with woods 999-6a and love the torque curve.
