There's a guy on YouTube who put a Night Train dash on his Breakout, the fit and finish didn't look great but I liked the overall look. Been contemplating a Dyna WG dash or something similar myself, I just don't know if the warning lights and speedo electrical would swap over well? It would solve all the riser issues though!
Found a pic I shot into the dealer garage while having the "pre-fitting" of the Thunderbike rear fender before custom paint. Flat Risers were just installed and this pic might give you an idea on how they look like once installed. Hope this might help you deciding on pulling the trigger...
Nostradamus74 did you end up putting the thunderbike risers on? If so, how is clearance with the standard bars and do the grips hit the tank?

Sharky, I hope you don't mind me replying to your question as I now have Nostradamus' flat risers installed on my bike. AFAIK he didn't have any issues with the Thunberbike flat risers w.r.t. bars hitting the tank. But when I installed them risers on my bike I indeed experienced this issue. The switch housings on both sides were touching the tank on full steering. I ended up installing 3/4" riser spacers. This not only solved the clearance issue but also improved ergonomics.

I thought that might be the case. There is a place in Oz that make 1 3/5 risers. I think they might be a good option to avoid this problem. Thanks for the reply!!
Thunderbike risers are $199. US ? shipping
It cost me $269. + free shipping for OEM CVO Risers (and attached speedo cup).
I'll probably keep my original FXSB risers and drag bars for trade in.
can
If not I can sell and offset cost.
can you use the same stud mounts off the old riser for the new one?
I installed 254E cams several months ago, replaced the V & H Big Radius with Bassani Sweepers, and retuned with Dynojet PV2 tuner. Pulls great low and mid range. It's a good mild cam and an HD cam so no disputes. The Bassani Sweepers are a smaller diameter than the Big Radius and retained low end. The Bassani's sound like drag pipes sitting still even with the 9" baffles, but when riding they're not as loud as the Big Radius, at least from my perspective on the bike.
I could've went cheaper and installed a HD 255 cam as there are a lot of like new "take off" ones on ebay from Rushmore Bikes for $99. but the 254E keeps pulling past the point where a 255 fades out. I have 255's in my 14' FLHX, and installed them in my 09 and 12 FLHX's, they have a flat spot that's all but impossible to tune out and run hot.
I thought about swapping FXSB wheels for CVO turbine wheels, but honestly happy with FXSB wheels and get compliments on them. I would get CVO wheels if it were the deal of a lifetime.
can you use the same studs from the old riser on the new one. Or do you need new ones?
