I put the same one on mine and it looks great...BUT...had the same issue. Even had a buddy of mine who is an hd mechanic...size is a hair too small...not a big issue, but somebody measured wrong...

I don't. The dealer wouldn't take it back since it was opened (and they installed it wrong, in front of the lip so the gap would close, and told me that's how it's supposed to go), so I tossed it and no longer visit that dealer
This problem are an error from harley davidson factory. Now, if you want buy the bezel visor ring for fxcwc, you cant buy because Harley davidson quit the item from the dealers. The item is unavailable but we spent money in a defective item .
You are correct. Crazy situation from a manufacturer...It's a very small gap so I just ignore it.
