Get Drummers ear plugs. They let in the low frequency like the motor and voices and block out the annoying wind and other noises. Guitar Center.

Another possible helmet to look into may be the Bell Rogue. I picked one up last year because I like the styling and it had speaker pockets. I had no idea the difference a helmet could make! I had previously worn a much cheaper half helmet that let it a lot of noise. It would often times be hard to hear my music with it cranked up high.

Enter the Rogue. With it on, my non-baffled pipes sound like a low rumble. Riding with a buddy on a Evo Wide Glide side by side, I could really enjoy the harmony between a Twink and Evo. His pipes were similar to short shots and again, I only heard the low rumble of both bikes as we cruised down the road. As for wind noise, I can't recall hearing any. My music, is turned down quite a bit because the helmet is so much quieter it can tend to get too loud. As for comfort, the helmet feels great, and is much lighter than my previous helmet. It also has a removable mouth and nose guard that protects from debris and bugs (also handy in colder weather).

While it is not a true 3/4 helmet, it's rated as a half helmet with the comfort of a 3/4. I would highly recommend it through somewhere like Cycle Gear or Revzilla.com where you can try it and return it if doesn't suit you.

I ride with a variety of helmets to include a half-helmet most of the time, and I too have tinnitus. I spent the money at an audiologist ($120) last year to get custom plugs molded and special ordered for my ears and it’s made my riding so much more enjoyable. I can still hear everything I need to, and because they fill my ears and are flat on the outside the wind noise is really diminished. I got them in a tone that matches my skin(ish) and they arent super noticable I don’t think, or care actually.. Best gear money I’ve spent, bar none. I did a couple 1000 mile weekends last year, and the only thing that hurt afterwards was my ***!

Open face 3/4 catches a surprising amount of wind noise, but much better than a half helm obviously. Ear plugs are a must with a half helm though.
