fue guage
I have a2014 Heritage. I have replaced the fuel gage due to water getting in it and clouding up the glass. Has anyone had to do this also. It was replaced under warranty. Learned to put a piece of tape across it before washing now.

Unless you were using a serious industrial pressure washer, water should not get in the gauge when washing the bike. That is why it was replaced under warranty. Not your fault. Remember, these machines are supposed to be able to go out in the rain without issue too.

my 07 deluxe and my 04 heritage both had/have this problem. they replaced the gauges under warranty but it still would happen to the new ones . eventually I said screw it,and they always clear up after a day or two.

Yeah... they can't afford to put a $0.10 packet of desiccant in the gauge before closing it up... that would be a whole $0.20 per bike! Even more on the touring bikes. Gasp! What would the stockholders think!

my speedo has had a little moisture in it a couple times and it'll dry out in short time in the sun,, but never moisture fogging in the Fuel gauge..

I always get the moisture in the fuel gauge when I wash mine, and probably get it half of the time with my replacement speedo/tach. Each clears up after a few hours of riding, but it's annoying... (Guess life is good if that's the only thing that causes annoyance!)

I solved this issue when I had my Street Bob, I replaced the gauges with Dakota Digital Gauges and was much happier. If the Fat Boy Lo gets to the point I can no longer see the numbers in the gauges, there will be a Dakota Digital going into it.
