who has upgraded their Heritage (or similar) suspension?
Two weeks into the new ride and I am not satisfied with high speed stability in sweeping curves.
In other words when I am doing about 65mph and I am in a big curve comfortable and I hit a small patch of rough road the front end gets antsy. Not out of control, but not solid.
I am thinking a suspension upgrade to maybe the Progressive cartridge inserts would likely fix this as well as improve the overall ride.
I am also getting some front end dive with braking I would like to minimize.
I had another bike with similar issues and suspension did wonders.
rear - 422's, Air Shocks. Or, set preload firmer on stock shocks.
front- Ricors, Progressive, Race Tech springs w/Ricors. Or, add thicker fork oil. With Progressive, its a one size fits all. With Race Tech springs you chose the spring per your weight and they are constant rate springs.
Yep, upgraded suspension does make the bike behave much better.

We have the Shotgun Shock on the rear and the Progressive Mono-Tube on the front. No more front end dive when braking and no more wobble when hitting road hazards, pot holes, wood, tire chunks, cagers.....
Here's a write-up I did a year ago after upgrading the front to Progressive Monotubes.
It includes two eye-opening videos, a "before" and "after" of the front suspension travel.
I upgraded the front after having installed a Shotgun Shock on the rear, which really amplified just how sh*tty the front suspension was... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...es-review.html

Same setup here and I love it. As was mentioned the 422's are a good alternative to the Shotgun Shock and the Ricors with Race Tech springs are a good alternative to the monotubes. Any combination of these will improve your ride greatly.
