In the US, we have a "Title" to the vehicle that you sign when you sell the vehicle. Nobody would carry the title in the vehicle unless they were on their way to sell it. Some states now have electronic titles as well, though I always request an old school paper title.

Well, I currently have 6 bikes so stuffing all that in my wallet is out. I was looking for something that didn't require getting off the bike and unbolting or unscrewing anything. I suppose under the seat is still the best option. I do carry an insurance card in my wallet and that does have all of the vin numbers for my bikes. I was looking for a low profile stash type deal that wouldn't stand out to thieves, but the only ones I found were either blatantly obvious or so hidden I'd have to belly crawl to get to it.

I was given a keychain that carried a condom by a record label a few years back. I'll look for something like that. Since the MoCo thinks that their alarm fob needs to be the size of a woman's make-up compact, and that I need the fob on me to start the bike and the key to secure it, seems like the best way to keep it with the bike(s) without overloading my wallet. You'd think that motorcycle companies would follow the lead of the cage manufacturers and offer a factory solution. Hell, the MoCo could put their logo on it and charge double (not that they've ever done THAT before)!

FYI for those with bags... if you open the bag(s) in front of the popo, everything in there is considered "plain view" and they can search through it.

It is a pain in the a$$ to keep the registration on the bike, and I am not going to keep a registration for each bike in the wallet, plus insurance card.

If you get pulled over, the officer knows if your registration is current before he even talks to you probably.

The reason some states still require us to carry a paper registration is simple: they can fine us if we don`t have it if we get pulled over.

It`s all about squeezing money out of people.

I think you are dead on correct, as you can indeed get a ticket in FL if you don't have it.

Yzergod, take a look at the area behind your transmission - there is a big hole there where the MOCO puts a charcoal canister for CA bikes (and green guys like me install one too lol).

Then I would suggest you could get a key float for a boat that opens up but is waterproof (or some similar little container), and attach it to the swingarm bolt via zip ties (you can get to it if you remove the two bolts on the rear fender close out at the front of the tire).

Just be careful to secure it well as the front pulley for the belt spins on the left side of that area and you don't want something coming loose and going into that belt.

This will be a lot less than $75, out of sight (paint it black with plastic paint if you like) and I'm going to assume you don't get pulled over a lot, so you can get at it but not so it's readily visible.

Something like this but a little bigger:

As do I.

When you get stopped, you're asked for License, Registration and Proof of Insurance. I doesn't make sense to keep them in different places. IMO

Default Plastic holder

I found this black plastic registration holder on flebay, the price is right.

I have 3 different seats so keeping the registration and insurance card under seat did not work with my "convertible" bike. I mounted the unit (link below) on the bottom of my 'plate and I am quite happy.

(Strongly agree that the registration should not be required in case of a stop).

Registration holder is just visible in this shot at the bottom of the license plate. I tried it on my Bobbed Slim fender, it worked there as well.

I keep copies of all that paperwork on my phone. If the cops pull me over and don't like it, they can write me up. I don't mess with having to carry all the crap in hardcopy, in today's digital world. They wanna take the time and effort to pull me over, they can see by looking at my phone screen that I'm legally licensed, insured and registered; or they can look it up for themselves...
