I have a 2015 Deluxe. I want to mount a set of passenger pegs to the lowest fender strut attachment (where the strut makes the V shape, the lowest bolt). Does anyone happen to have their strut off at this time, that could possibly tell me the thread pitch of that bolt? I called HD Parts and they have no technical info about that bolt. I will pull mine if necessary, but I thought I'd try here first. I did this same mod to my 90 Springer but the bolts are not the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
And selected your model. Then I selected "FENDER - REAR W/ SUPPORTS" and up came the parts diagram. From there, I found that the bolt is part number 3056.

Hope this helps. Save the first link for future reference.
This is outstanding. Thanks! When I get the pegs mounted it'll look pretty bad *** and it's much more comfortable for the old lady (she really liked it on my 90 Springer). I'll leave the lower pegs on, so she'll have a choice for seating position. I'll post some pics and include a description of what I had to go through to get them mounted. Hopefully it'll be fairly straight up.
I want to do the very same thing!
Can you please tell me what you end up getting?
JeffJA, I sure will. With the help of the good folks on this forum, I have the correct mounts ordered. After they come in (about a week) and I get some measurements, I will purchase the studs and it'll be finished. I will post pics of the items required, as well as their links to purchases.
Please send pics when finished, especially with someone sitting on the pillion with their feet up on them. I can't help but think their knees will end up by their ears though. The strut mounts are pretty high up!

Its not as bad as you would imagine. Like I stated, I had this mod on my 90 Springer. My OL digs riding this way, but it may not be for everyone. On my 15 Deluxe I have to mount the pegs to my strut. If you look closely at the pic I attached (90 Springer), you'll see the pegs are mounted to the frame just in front of the strut and above the oil tank. That frame mount is not present on my Deluxe, so the strut is the only option. The mounts will arrive this coming Monday, so I should have the mod done by the end of next week. Bike has to go for service mid week.
Just a quick update. The peg mounts that came in are way too long @ 3.5". Had to send them to a machinist to get them milled down to 1". As soon as I get the mounts back, I will post info.
