Hey forum, anybody install the Big City Thunder baffles in their exhaust??? If so, any comments would be great...Also, can you use the original hole from the stock baffles instead of drilling new holes in the pipes??? Their directions say to install at least 6 inches from end of exhaust tip. Will it make that much a difference only talking a couple inches...Hopefully someone has some advice and help...Anyway thanks in advance for any replies...
I put the BCT baffles in my Big Shots Staggered using the existing baffle holes. Very easy install. Works great. Sounds greater. My exhaust has tips mounted on them, so the baffles are about 6 inches from the tip.

Thanks for the info...Going to try using the stock holes to mount the big city thunders and see what happens...
they work great- either those or the ones from DK Customs. either are good. i drilled a hole in my pipes to bolt them in at 6 inches but that's no big deal.
When I bought my bike it had very little torque and was loud. The exhaust looked stock, still had the crossover pipe etc.
Closer examination revealed the previous owner had removed the baffles.
I installed Big City Thunder Baffles at the end of the header pipes, just ahead of the mufflers.
The sound is a lot deeper and the raspiness is gone. Also, suddenly I had decent low end torque.
A few years later, put in fresh rings, EV13 cam, milled the heads for more compression, and a few other things. I kept the exhaust as is because it worked great.
The sound is even deeper, the engine runs smoother, and the power is great, still with the big cig city thunder lollipop style baffles.
I have them installed in my SE-II slip-ons. I used the stock mounting holes for the baffles. All is good. Still looking for a deeper sound. Maybe I need to drop in a 95" kit.

Cant believe the sound of the monster baffles. Glad I made this move!!! Jake, I've got the 98" kit including cams and everything inside the cam chest!!! Pulling 109 HP and 112 ft lbs torque... Pretty quick for a Fatboy!!! Also, if you can do most of the work, will save a ton on a mechanic...while you have it torn down, might as well put in all the goodies as well!!!
