I`m thinking there would be an issue with leg placement . Looks like it would be kinda uncomfortable . Try J/P cycle , a handle bar cup mount might work better, you can swing it out of the way . Just my .02
I know 2 guys with them on road glides. Wives have never said they interfere with their legs. I know one of them rides with it straight up and down when solo then off to the side a bit for the wife. The other guy rolls with it to the side all the time.
