Just got through reading your post(s). Hope everything is resolved to your satisfaction and you're back on the road again soon. It really s*cks to spend that kind of money and get the bike you've always wanted, then have problems and have to jump through hoops to get it resolved. Good Luck !!

for those who do not know.......... the 06 models have a recall ......however the recall is not a national recall,yet! h-d is fixing the problem as they come.one day someone will have their wheels lock-up on a freeway and get smacked by a cager.then a national recall will be issued.it was found on my bike during a dyno run. the tech stopped the dyno and sent my sled to be fixed.what happened to me was that the main shaft -drive gear sprocket was loose,(the shaft drive in your primaryby the shifter,that drives the chain in your primary) eventually the gear will spin off and fly into the primary chain causing a lock-up of the rear wheels! the fix.......re-torquing the bolt that holds the gearto a higher spec onto the shaft, and of course a lil locktite .you will first hear a little clanking in your primary...i heard it but thought it was just a chrome cover vibrating or something like that.anyway thats what happen to me........

Do you have any paperwork concerning the recall? I have a 2006 fxst and would be very interested in any Harley fix going on.
