To the OP - try putting it in ACC mode, then advancing the throttle to the stop and holding it there for 5 seconds, and watching the cruise control dash light. If it flashes orange then you've just turned off the EITMS. If that doesn't work try the same thing in the RUN position. If it works, re-enabling EITMS uses the same routine, but the cruise light will flash green.
Only works on touring bikes. There is no indicator or throttle set on a softail. It has to be done electronically through the ECM.

Got it working. I needed to complete a firmware update but couldn't ever figure out how to get that going. Turns out, I had find where to turn the autotune off before the option appeared to go through the update.
Update completed and then the world opened up on the app.
